“Nobody Forgotten This Christmas”
This Christmas, we are reflecting upon the fact that no matter how busy we have been at Start Up Stirling, nobody who needed our Crisis Food Service was forgotten. Everyone received food when they needed it most, often during one of the worst times in their lives. Our focus for this year’s appeal is “Nobody Forgotten This Christmas,” as we want to ensure that everyone receives a Christmas dinner and food over the festive period. We want to let the people and the families that will be using our services know this Christmas that we, and people living in our communities throughout Stirling, care about them. Not just at Christmas, but throughout 2022.
"The extra help provided from the foodbank made life at Christmas so much easier and less stressful. Without the help provided to us Christmas would have been a struggle. As it was during Covid-19 Christmas food and gifts were all hand-delivered by the dedicated team who go above and beyond to help others. We greatly appreciate all that they do"
Here are some of the things that your support could make a difference with:
£5 - A £5 monthly donation could buy gifts for young people living in temporary accommodation this Christmas
£10 - Could provide someone living in crisis with a fresh 3 course Christmas meal and some festive food.
£25 - Provides the fuel for one of our crisis food delivery runs providing Stirling’s rural towns and villages with crisis food.
£40 - Would provide a duvet, 2 pillows and bedding to give someone a new start after a period of crisis or homelessness when they are given a new home.

We are very fortunate that we are being supported by Thistle Centre staff again this year and the Tolbooth. The Thistle Centre will have their popular “Giving Trees” Appeal in the Kings Mall, where visitors to the Centre can choose a gift tag from the tree with their preferred item on it, purchase the gift and return it to the Information desk. People can also leave a donation in their donation station, or tap to donate to leave a financial gift by card.
Tolbooth Studios have produced an EP entitled “Resurgence” of 6 new recordings from 6 musicians working together collaboratively for the first time, all with varying musical styles. The title of the EP reflects upon revival after Covid and the music aims to capture the feeling of movement towards hope. The EP is available to download digitally, from platforms such as Spotify and Apple, priced £4.99, with a donation from each sale being made to Start Up Stirling.
