Easter Holiday Club
Our joint Church Holiday Club with Park Church was held in April at Park Church. We had twenty-six children attending, and they came from nine different schools. We also had three teenage helpers from Stirling High School and Bannockburn High School.
The title of the club was A Tale of Two Kings, and it focused on David and Jesus, the King of Kings. Park Church Hall was transformed into a medieval castle, and the adults leading it took the roles of a captain, a princess, and a squire.
As well as listening to Bible stories, the children took part in making shields and scratch-art swords, creating bunting, writing psalms, blot painting, and many other craft activities. They also played corners games, danced the Macarena, sang action songs, took part in relay races, jousted and fenced with pool noodles, and hit a nine-foot-high picture of Goliath with indoor snowballs.
We had twenty-four adults helping with and setting up the club. Thanks to all who helped to make this club a success.
